Dr. Christine Bloch

Obstetric Curriculum Developer

Dr. Christine Bloch is an obstetrician-gynecologist based in Stratford, Ontario, with a strong commitment to obstetrical education and maternal health. She has contributed to national clinical guidelines through the Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Canada (SOGC), including as an author of clinical practice recommendations in obstetric care.

As an Obstetric Curriculum Developer with the Canadian Network for International Surgery (CNIS), Dr. Bloch has played a key role in the development and refinement of both the Fundamental Intervention, Referral and Safe Transfer (FIRST) for Midwives curriculum and the Structured Operative Obstetrics (SOO) course. Through her expertise, she has helped develop evidence-based training programs that strengthen the knowledge and skills of midwives, physicians, and surgical providers, improving maternal and newborn care in low-resource settings.
